Our Participants Vary in Age and Discipline

Welcome

The 100th Annual Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival will be held from April 21st to May 7th, 2008. Come out and see the stars of tomorrow and help us celebrate 100 years!

Journal Contest

Thousands of Edmonton children have taken part in the Kiwanis Music Festival since it started 100 years ago. Were you one of them? Send the Edmonton Journal a short story (under 200 words) about your memories of the Kiwanis Festival and — if you have it — a picture of yourself at the competition, and you could win a $50 Ticketmaster gift certificate.

The Journal plans to publish some of the stories and pictures on their website and in the Culture section. Go to edmontonjournal.com and look under Your Turn for the Kiwanis link. There you’ll find an electronic form you can use to send your story and attach a picture.

Or, you can mail your story to Keri Sweetman, Culture editor, The Edmonton Journal, Box 2321, Edmonton, T5J 2S6. Or fax it to Keri Sweetman at 429-5500. Be sure to include your contact information.

The deadline is April 15.
